Eden Singleton Dance Company

Elevate. Shine. Dream. Create.

Where family meets professional training

Hi, I’m Eden McDonnell, the owner and principal of Eden Singleton Dance Company.

I teach a wide range of dance styles, including Ballet, Tap, Modern, Cheerdance, Lyrical, Street, Latin American and Ballroom.

I trained professionally at Preston College on the Dance Performance and Teaching course and am fully qualified to teach Ballet, Tap and Modern with the ISTD.

I have been dancing since the age of 4, and dance has always been a huge part of my life. At just 10 years old, I became British Open to the World Latin Formation Champion, an achievement I’m incredibly proud of.

I began assisting with dance classes at the age of 14, gradually progressing to leading my own classes and competition teams. Over the years, I have successfully choreographed winning numbers across a wide range of dance genres, while nurturing and inspiring young dancers at every stage of their development. I have had the privilege of teaching students who have gone on to pursue successful careers as professional dancers and dance teachers themselves.

Although I love all styles of dance, my heart definitely lies with Latin American dancing💃🏼

After finishing dance college, I realised that my path was to teach rather than perform. Nothing makes me happier than watching children living their dreams on stage or at competitions and knowing that I’ve played a part in their journey❤️

I started ESDC 5 years ago and have never looked back. What started as a dream has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of, and being able to do what I love every day really is a dream come true.

When I’m not teaching or thinking about dance, I spend my time with my husband and our miniature dachshund, Diana. 🐾

I can’t wait to continue watching our dancers grow, learn, perform and most importantly, love dance as much as I do!

Hi, I’m Kate Connolly, one of the teachers here at Eden Singleton Dance Company!

I teach all of the styles we offer here at ESDC. Although I love every style of dance, my heart definitely lies most with Lyrical. Growing up, though, it was definitely Latin American that stole my heart! 💃🏻

I started dancing when I was just 2 years old and began Latin American dancing at the age of 7. From the age of 8–15, I was lucky enough to compete in the Latin World Championships, which gave me some amazing experiences and memories that I’ll never forget.

After years of training and competing, I went on to train professionally at Preston College Dance, where I gained my Diploma in Dance Education and completed my teaching qualifications. I am now a fully qualified ISTD Ballet, Tap and Modern teacher, and I have also recently gained my Acrotrix Acro qualifications 🤸🏼‍♀️

Since graduating from college in 2023, I’ve had the opportunity to dance professionally for lots of different companies and productions. I’ve performed on MSC Cruises, danced many events with StageWorks Worldwide Productions at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, performed with Hideaway Cabaret and Just Imagine UK, and I’m currently touring the UK and Europe with Entertainers – Man in the Mirror. I’m also about to head into my 4th Christmas contract with StageWorks! ✨

After being trained by Eden for many years myself, I’ve been teaching at ESDC since the very first day. Watching the company grow and being part of our dancers’ journeys has been so special, and I genuinely love every second of it. Getting to teach alongside my best friend is definitely one of my favourite things! 🥹❤️

When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me on a tour bus with my friends or, more than likely, grabbing a coffee somewhere! ☕️😂

I feel so lucky that dance has been such a huge part of my life, and I can’t wait to continue sharing that love of dance with all of our ESDC dancers, helping them grow in confidence, learn new skills and most importantly, love dancing as much as I do! ❤️
